Déjà Vu disappoints, but it is entertaining

I decided to watch Déjà Vu because I read that Netflix is taking down from their site. It sounded interesting, and perhaps even Phil Dickian, but I am sorely disappointed. It’s just a long series of car chases and explosions, with some nifty technology thrown in. Oh, and  [SPOILER ALERT] the hero get the girl, of course. Not much of a spoiler, really. The opening scene is capped by a huge explosion, and the action keeps you on the edge of your seat. But it really isn’t much different from any other cops against terrorists movie.

It sounded really cool, but it really isn’t.

If you think I’m using the word “really” too much, you’re right.

Oh, I do like the movie, and I think I’ll watch it again, before Netflix takes it down on September first.

It’s just that it doesn’t really deliver on the déjà vu.
